Welcome to PICCS!

Frauenwörth Monastery, Chiemsee, Germany

Thanks to Frauenwörth Abbey and the PICCS staff for a wonderful Summer School! We hope to see you again soon!

The Program in Cognitive, Computational and Systems Neuroscience (PICCS) is an international education and research program for students studying brain sciences at Georgetown and Howard Universities in Washington, DC. PICCS brings world-renowned guest lecturers to Georgetown and Howard, and provides support for students to travel internationally and conduct research at partner labs in Finland, France and Germany. PICCS students learn to use research techniques pioneered by these partner labs, as well as gain insight into international perspectives on neuroscience theories and conducting scientific research.

PICCS is funded by the National Science Foundation as part of its PIRE initiative (Programs in International Research and Education).
